Who We are

 

Sustainable Economic Endeavors Africa (SEED Africa) is an NGO registered on Kenya registration number OP.2018/051/21-058/12199 with a mission of alleviating poverty through climate smart agriculture and access to employable and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, promoting access to education and improving water, sanitation and hygiene services to rural and urban communities in Kenya.

SEED Africa has a special focus in empowering, youth and women in the community. The organization was established in the year 2021 by community members to address social and economic issues that are affecting local communities initially in Machakos County. The not-for-profit organization has a wider mandate to scale and reach out to other local communities in Makueni, Kitui, Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa Counties

SEED Africa’s specific objectives are:

1) To empower vulnerable young women and youth affected by extreme poverty and gender-based violence with employable and entrepreneurial knowledge and life skills in

(a) Climate Smart Agriculture

(b) Tailoring and dressmaking

(c) Baking (nutritious snack bars for expectant, lactating mothers          and infants)

(d) Housekeeping

2) To provide access to menstrual pads and panties for girls (PP4G) and school fees for vulnerable girls from needy families 

4) Domestic Tourism (domestic ecotourism-culture and events) involving women and youth groups
